Big Ray on getting drunk and happy memories

|

Ray Winstone was at the centre of a great interview by West Ham TV after the Arsenal game and warns that “fairy stories don’t always happen” as we head for the game against Manchester United.

And on the final match of the season at the Boleyn he says: “If you are gonna ask me if I’m gonna cry, no probably not but I’l probably stagger out very drunk with happy memories.”

Yep – absolutely 100% agree. International teams wouldn’t have a clue how to deal with the Big Man. Watched MOTD3 yesterday and listened to that pillock Lawrenson going “oh, he’s a throwback, teams don’t play like that anymore”. Just answered yourself there. If other teams don’t play that way, don’t practice that way, how can they be prepared?

And yes, we do need to earn the right to go all the way. But, as I’ve been saying since Christmas – why not us?
