Big Reid blow

|

ReidEXCLUSIVE

Winston Reid is set to miss both the match against Spurs and the weekend trip to Everton.

The central defender was expected to return for the game against Sunderland but felt his hamstring when training on Sunday.

And our medical staff immediately decided he could not be risked and the estimate in situations like this is that another 10 day recovery programme is put in place.

However, there is a hope that Diafra Sakho could possibly be included in Wednesday evening’s squad after he has shown well in training.

We were told exclusively: “He’s desperate to play and there’s half a chance he could be included but thankfully both Andy Carroll and Manu Lanzini have both made their returns and are approaching full match fitness.

“We are now in good shape for the final run-in and with everybody fit who knows what is possible.”

He is becoming as big concern just like AC missed a lot of last season as well,
Pity we needed his cool head in the next 2 games especially with Byram missing,
We could end up with Kouyate or Song filling at the back unless at last Oxford gets his chance before he decided stop double his wages elsewhere,

Not much being said about tommo ? The quicker he is fit the better , he has been missed . I would play obiang at r/b as we need Antonio on the right wing to give that little arrogant turd rose a rough time, with payet in the 10 marauding roll and lanzini on the left . I’ve said it before and I will say it again moses can’t be trusted against teams like spuds because of his defencive inability . Been waiting for this return v spuds to put the smug mugs in their place.
They are not as good as they are made out to be, they are not a better team than us , they are just a bit more cynical and cheat as they have been taught by poksychino , the assassin.
We have to bash the life out of them before they bash us , there will be two battles on Wednesday , a dirty game and a football game . We must win both and then the goons can nick 3 points as well to pull us 6 points closer and hopefully spurs employee as they normally do . We simply cannot lose , to much pride at stake . They hit us hard at there place and the compliment needs to be returned , and some .

Tommo is a great CB, but solid at RB too. Without him our defense looks shaky.. He will be missed vs spuds.

Johnboy agree with your comments above totally. but we need to be a very different team from the way we played sunderland I thought we were awful and lucky not to lose .

Would love us to beat tottenham midweek and derail there title bid! Them losing 3 points to us would make every game a must win for them with leicester continuing to win. Hopefully that would be an added pressure on them and would be too much and they would capitulate! Lol i lve in hope!

And so say all of us !!!
