Big relief for Hammers fans

By Hughie Southon

West Ham fans will be mightily relieved that both Declan Rice and Emerson have come through their internationals without suffering any injury problems.

Given our league position it is of critical importance that our players are available for the crucial clash against Southampton at the weekend.

And both came through their games last night in decent fettle and tonight it is a case of keeping our fingers crossed for Czech Republic players Tomas Soucek and Vladi Coufal.

The team goes into action against Moldova and it remains to be seen whether our right back is used again after playing 71 minutes of the game against Poland in which the team ran out 3-1 winners before he was subbed.

It seems unlikely that Alphonse Areola will play a part in the French team for the game against teh Republic of Ireland so hopefully all our international players will be available for that huge match against Southampton.
