Big shout for Hammers defender from Declan

Ryan Fredericks is likely to be part of the Hammers starting line up for the match at the London Stadium tomorrow evening if David Moyes takes notice of Declan Rice’s opinions.

Fredericks was involved against Everton on Sunday and produced what most believed was a very decent performance at right back.

Dec is a big mate of the former Fulham defender and often goes on holiday with him but was clearly telling it as he saw it when congratulating the defender.

He said in a tweet alongside a picture of Fredericks: “Some big challenges from this man this afternoon” and it clearly was one of the 29 year old’s better games.

It looks as though it will be a choice between Fredericks and Vladi Coufal for the right back slot with Ben Johnson apparently still suffering from a tight hamstring.

Oye expected team: Areola; Fredericks, Dawson, Zouma, Cresswell; Rice, Soucek; Bowen, Benrahma, Fornals, Antonio.

  1. Yes I thought he had a decent game and defended well on occasions. He needs to add discipline and focus though because his biggest fault is bombing forward leaving no cover. Keep thinking Ryan.
