Big Zouma boost

|

West Ham have received a huge boost as Kurt Zouma continues his recovery from his hamstring injury.

Reports when the defender sustained the problem suggested that he was facing as long as 12 weeks out.

However, a new report from Football.London now claims that he is already back in the gym working on his fitness.

Zouma has made a real impact since his move from Chelsea and has been an exceptional performer in David Moyes’ backline.

Of course, there remains a desire at the London Stadium to sign a new central defender in January, either permanently or on loan, in order to bolster the squad.

Craig Dawson and Issa Diop are the only senior options; any injury to the pair would require Moyes to rely on his U23 team.

Still, the news that Zouma is back on his feet and working on his fitness can only be a good thing for the Irons as the January window looms.
