Bilic axe odds shorten – what the fans say

The bookies have Slaven Bilic as a clear favourite for the axe.

He’s at 6/4 with some firms whilst David Moyes and Tony Pulis are seen as the next most vulnerable Premier League bosses.

Here’s what ClaretandHugh’s Facebook forum members at https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/?fref=nf have to say about that.

Slaven-BilicO Bookies need to naff off tbh.
O Still my choice.
O In Bilic we trust
O Good Man , Clever enough to learn, still a young manager with a lot of good players to come back soon.
In Slav we trust.
O My choice too…
O It says much for the club’s progress that we are still waiting for/relying on the return of Andy Carroll to save the manager’s bacon!

O I hope Bilic stays but i do think a home defeat against Sunderland would make it very difficult. then we have the run of Everton, Stoke, Spurs, Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool to contend with….
O Changing manager is not always the answer. Addressing the problems we currently have is the answer, Bilic deserves the chance to sort things out and hope he does. Unfortunately though if results continue to be poor then inevitably pressure will mount.
O It’s often pointed out that the ‘lift’ from a new manager comes around mainly from the players knuckling down and doing what they were supposed to be doing under the previous regime! I dont think Bilic is past the point of no return
OMaybe it’s not Bilic that needs to go but, the training staff.
O In billic we trust, Coyis

  1. Give Slaven a 5-year improved contract NOW……….There;’s no question of his ability.

  2. You don’t leave your missus at the first sign of problems. You try to understand her, piece together the jigsaw, cut her some slack, then if don’t work out in a couple of years you suggest it may be better if she were seeing someone else. Stick with Bilic, we are still in love.

  3. The media and the betting houses always seem to go hand in hand when somebody’s job is being threatened ; by those very same people who provoke it to sell news papers and fill Thier betting coffers .
While it maybe true There is a cloud over the LS at the moment, it hasn’t started raining cats and dogs yet . And with injured players coming back to provide the umbrella in future crucial games we may just get some sunny days again .
Give Bilic the time he needs for the weather to change .

  4. I feel you’ve got to be realistic, the Team has started the Season badly – the players have looked disorganised, unfit, lacking in confidence and any number of negative comments you can come up with. The Transfer Window didn’t go well, to put it mildly, and the Squad and Team look short of quality.

Now who is that down to? Bilic obviously had a big input into who was recruited, he picks the Team, sorts out the shape, tactics and other Team matters and if it’s not going well then the buck stops with him!

The David’s will give him a couple of games to get things going in the right direction, if he doesn’t get good results against Palace or Sunderland then big decisions will have to be taken – it gives me no pleasure to say this but I feel you,ve got to face facts.
