Bilic calm as ‘thin ice’ stories start again

slavbilSlaven Bilic insists he feels under no added pressure following his point-less start to the season.

The first ‘he’s on thin ice’ story emerged yesterday but the simple truth is that every manager in the country is under scrutiny in all circustances.

Football management is one of the most vulnerable positions on earth and the Hammers boss knows that and it’s why, presumably, he doesn’t let the situation get to him.

He was in the same position all last season before securing the club’s Premier League status with two games of the campaign remaining.

And responding to the latest round of newspaper gossip he said: “Nothing surprises me but it looks like it never stopped to be fair.

“But should I be under pressure now? No. We only started the season. I am the first one who wants as many points as possible but I don’t feel the pressure apart from the pressure of the games that I am putting on myself.”
