Slaven Bilic has confirmed that Aaron Cresswell is happy at West Ham and highly unlikely to moving anywhere.
The manager’s words came after ClaretandHugh had dismissed Liverpool transfer talk on this site yesterday revealing that it would take a bid of astronomical proportions for the club to even look at it.
Cresswell is widely admired across the Premier League and as a Scouser it hardly takes great imagination to believe that his home town club may be interested.
But it’s not going to happen and Slav said:“Aaron is having a great season, he’s a great professional and he’s always available. He’s great!
“He had a great season last season, on the ball and with his crossing and technique. He is almost a playmaker from defence. I spoke to him a couple of times and he’s very happy and he’s hopefully going to stay with us for a long time.
“Aaron improved defensively and is almost a complete player now. He naturally became of interest to so many good clubs.
“I spoke to him. First, he is under contract and second, and more importantly, he is really happy here and can’t wait for the future”
As much as I want him to stay & i believe he will, if his agent starts to talk b0llox in his ear then no contract will be worth the paper it is writen on. We would of course get a great price for him but we would need to spend the same amount to replace him. Imo he will become a england regular & the prospect of playing at the OS (the best stadium in the PL) should beat off any offer.
Fantastic news ; Cresswell is / has proven to be a real must for West ham . A contract is a contract , after all . But really happy he is not willing to move to a ” big club ” !! , because West Ham are becoming one of them , no doubt .
Our chance for the Champions League is not yet dead and buried . Ok , we must win all remaining games and hope some team slips up ( Arsenal are favorites for that ) and we nip in at the last gasp . The Europa League would be great also and we are looking good for that . As I said in a previous post , beating Man Utd would change everything ., after we have beaten West Brom 0 – 3 on Saturday .
