Bilic delighted with first victory of season

bilicsmilesSlaven Blilic was delighted and relieved to secure his first win of the season declaring: “All and any victory creates confidence.”

He was equally happy with the clean sheet after seeing the side ship goals in their two first outings of the season but added: “We can’t get carried away because with all the respect in the world Cheltenham are 60 odd places beneath us.

Having said that I have been involved in these games as a player and they can be dodgy and dangerous but I’m glad with the way it went because Cheltenham were hungry and wanting to do well on their own ground.

“It wasn’t easy but in the end our pace and quality paid off. There’s a big difference in the divisions and it was  case of wehter they could cope with that over a long period.”

The manager was particularly pleased with Diafra Sakho explaining  that he had never doubted his quality and adding: “Now he has scored and that’s what centre forwards need. If he stays fit he can be a big player for us again.”

  1. A possible banana skin negotitated so job done.No premier team likes to go away to these lower division teams so we did what we did more than competently imo.

  2. Don’t get to excited league 2 club. But will help confidence and was good to see Collins on his Birthday 200th appearance too. And still is a rock hope he plays against Newcastle and good to see Adrian in goal.
Like to see Adrian at Newcastle and back 3 with Collins and Rice.
    Kouyate back for midfield
