Bilic describes his Payet great expectations

Dimitri Payet is all set to become West Ham’s David Silva at the Olympic Stadium according to DSlavn Bilic.

The two come face to face in this evening’s clash at the Etihad with Payet admitting the Manchester City playmaker is a player for hom he has huge admiration.

Silva joined the Sky Blues for £24 million whilst Payet – at 28 million was £14 million cheaper – but already he looks the bargain buy of the season.

Bilic – ever the realist  – has told the Irons starman that he can be just as effective adding:  “The difference between Payet and Silva is that Silva has been doing it here for four years now – while Payet has done it for five games.

Dimitri Payet celebrates scoring his and West Ham's second goal

“He has to do it on a longer scale – which I think I will.

“If he stays calm and motivated which is also part of our job – and he doesn’t get carried away by the headlines he’s making – then he will get to that level.”
