Bilic eyes problem positions

bilic_234636Slaven Bilic will move quickly to solve two Hammers problems positions if he gets the manager’s job at Upton Park.

The Croat wants a right back and holding midfielder brought into the club as soon as possible with only Joey O’Brien available on the right side of the back four and Alex Song back at Barcelona.

Although Pedro Obiang is being sought and, according to some reports, on his way to the club within days for a medical, he is more of a box to box player in the mould of Cheik Kouyate.

Bilic will make the two positions a priority if a deal can be hammered out with the board although there have been no further developments between the two sides since yesterday.

The club are also in need of a fourth striker with the decision to allow Carlton Cole to move on.

  1. I’m sure all potential candidates would look to do this! Will be interesting to see the level of control any new manager has on transfers.

  2. Does anyone know the contractual situation with J O’B? I know he’s one of the favoured few from the hippo days but I can’t see how after four years he’s not out of contract.

  3. Operation Clean Sweep: O’Brien, Jarvis, Nolan, Demel, Carroll, Cole (he’s already gone). It is pointless to insist on these players, they are not PL players. Yes Carroll is a good player: He’s powerful as Ibra, but he has not his class, his feet and his physical fitness. He earns a lot of money for what? If the big teams don’t want him there is a reason.

  4. Plan A in operation don’t think Carroll will go unless £10 million is offered and not sure he wants to go,the rest are not good enough

  5. ahha.. ok bubs, the important thing to me is that he’s not in the starting line-up…
