Slaven Bilic has made it crystal clear he has no intention of dropping Adrian.
He is unmoved in his opinion that the Spaniard is his No 1 and has already forgiven him a colossal error which led to the Stoke City equaliser on Saturday.
Thankfully Bilic never shies away from the difficult questions and put the matter to bed in seconds when the subject was raised.
He said: ““It was a mistake from him. He misjudged the ball and it’s a mistake but we shouldn’t forget how many times he’s been a key man for us.
“You don’t judge your players, especially your goalkeepers, because of one mistake. I’m always saying that we have a couple of really good goalkeepers, it’s a fact, but you want all your players confident. Adrian made one bad mistake in the game and that happens.
“He knows that it was his mistake but mistakes happen. He is my number one.”
As I said in a previous post ; rediculous to ridicule Adrian for one mistake when he has saved us so many points .
Keep your head down Slaven is my advice . It’s all bows and arrows at the moment but , some fletches are being honed for you . Christmas is looming and it is a bad time to be where we are . The Honeymoon is well over and there are fans looking for a divorce . Four games coming up that will definately determine our season . We can’t even pin our hopes on any Cup runs because the league is SO important .
Start looking for a job when the owners give you Thier full support .
You only have to think back on how ungrateful the fans were towards Big Sam . You will be treated no different at the end of the day .
Basically , the fans are well and truly hacked off and rightly so . We currently think all will be ok but , we can’t rely on that .
These posts are really difficult to write and are becoming a right chore .
Everyone that says something is open to criticism and / or abuse .
( am expecting some bull **** for that ) .
Sell Payet and use the money wisely : Let Carroll go and use the money wisely : Get Sakho back on track . We were good with him before Payet showed up .
( expecting even , more bull **** now )
Doesn’t surprise me – for as many games as Adrian has kept us in, the manager isn’t going to be totally reactive and drop him for this massive mistake. Terrible decision by Adrian, acknowledge it, move on – pretty much sounds like that’s what has happened. Manager needs to show he believes in him. Everyone else needs to get over it – I was surprised even Antonio said what he said in the press about it.
