Bilic hammered by fans over Chicharito

Slaven Bilic has been hammered by many West Ham fans over the decision to play Chicharito on the left side of the front line.

Here’s the response from followers of the ClaretandHugh Facebook forum after the manager told the striker he needs to “sacrifice” himself for the team by playing out of natural role.

O Oh dear.

We are not a football club.. we are some kind of guinea pig for Croatian guy to experiment with. Total joke.
O  He will ask for a transfer at Christmas. Bilic will never learn
O Why buy a ‘fox in the box’ striker and play him as a wide man? It’s insane!
O Hate Spurs but can’t help feeling we’re gifting them points with this fatuous oaf in charge. Hernandez just went from 20 goal stricker to 10 in the blink of an eye , ffs billic sort yourself out Carroll is a plan b bench player

I think BFS done the same with Valencia and Sakho. Once Carroll was fit Valencia was dropped for Carroll. It would be a mistake to make Carroll the number 1 striker at our club.
O I’d love to see Chico and Sakho play together. They would scare most teams to death on their day
O Why ask for this player if you cannot play him to his strengths and won’t be able to fit him into the formation that you want to play? Our transfer business continues to astound me.

O Just goes to show our manager is clueless. Why did he buy Chicarito in the first place then? He is a renowned box goalscorer, yet this clown plays him on the wing and tells him to be happy about it.

O Bottom line is that the team needs to score goals and no one else has a better record of doing that. Incredibly frustrating.

Bilic hasn’t got a clue, mezmorized by Carroll having to play, which results in us hoofing long balls to him from all over the pitch.
BFS made that mistake and it cost him his job as it surely will with Bilic.
Sakho and Chicarito should play up front together with Arnie and Michael on the wings supplying them.
i dread to think what he is going to do once Lanzini is fit, how and where will he fit him in.
My team would be this :

      Great comment their Oldiron!
      Terrific selection of players..
Totally support the idea of starting out with Chicharito and Sakho as our twin central strikers. Carroll on bench-I’m afraid, however, that our ‘onion-eating’ gaffer will make AC his first selection.
My only caveat is the formation; 3-4-3 is good, but would the 3-5-2 be better, with Antonio playing as an advanced RAM come right winger.

Can’t believe you use of the term mesmerization! Just used it myself, at another WHU site to highlight that Andy has got Slav totally mesmerized. Must be us old farts thinking alike (LOL)
PS If Spurs take us to the sword, Slav could be in serious trouble; bring in Thomas Tuchel!

How can you both seriously say Sakho should start. Who is mesmerised??
Two weeks ago he couldn’t care and was away.
Masuakua – have you forgotten the first game of the season?
Have you forgotten the fact that we conceded 10 goals in the first 3 games.
We needed to change and whether you like it or not Carroll has been key to that change – defensively as attacking wise.
Sakho was a disgrace when he came on against Man Utd and the only reason he is “lifting a leg” now is to get his move in January.

I’m with you bisch, short memories! No shortage of takers then when Bilic gets the chop judging from earlier comments.

Bilic was probably not many games from losing his job, he had to stop us leaking goals, I would prefer he play Hernandez up top through the middle but he had no choice, if they are a front three they should be able to rotate when one moves central the other goes wider etc that way it could work but that doesn’t seem to happen very often does it ?

Some great tacticians out there today. Should apply for Slavs job immediately. Not.
