Bilic linked with Fenerbahce

bilic_234636Former Hammer Slaven Bilic who coached Turkish club Besiktas for two seasons has been linked to the vacant Fenerbahçe post in the Turkey with some reports claiming he is top of their list.

Ismail Kartal resigned from his manager post at Fenerbahçe last week after the final match of the 2014-2015 season against Kasımpaşa. The team finished the league at the second place just three points behind champions Galatasaray. Last year, Fenerbahçe had managed to win the title. Kartal stated that he asked club chairman Aziz Yıldırım to quit during a meeting and his request was accepted.

Reports in the Turkish media claimed that Fenerbahçe were in talks with Bilic however sources close to the manager denied those rumours saying he won’t manage in Turkey next year.

He told the Besiktas official website before leaving.
“I have said so many times that I have enjoyed every second of these two seasons at Besiktas.

“This club will always stay in my heart. I’m so proud of everything we’ve done here.

“In the near future, I will not be in this country. But in Turkey, there is only Besiktas for me.”

Unfortunately fans on the other site will spontaneously combust at the news, others will be getting there calculators to work out Bilic win and possession %, some will celebrate his appointment but then be shot down by joehamner’s tirade of useless mind numbing ********, then they’ll all forget about it for a while talk about what kind of cake Slav might like and be happy for a while…but they’ll be lurking in the shadow ‘s waiting for a bad signing a bad result so that they can tell us that things were better under their Messiah…..So I say if Bilic is the man support him 100% and don’t let the minority spout there crap anymore, just laugh at them but make a conscious effort when we are playing with style and substance and winning make them all know about it, name and shame em…

Go Gary Monk. Young manager (tick), good football (tick), premier league experience (tick).
Will he come given ties to Swansea? Money will help.
If not bilic. Let’s get this sorted so we can concentrate on transfer targets

Where do people get their ideas from ? Even that Fenerbahce official must know how difficult it woul be for a former Besiktas manager to waltz into a new job at one of the cross city rivals. I think despite being a former no nonsense defender Bilic is sensible enough to know that it will be nigh impossible for him to ever join Fenerbahce or Galatasaray after having managed Besiktas before.
The Turkish fans are passionate and football crazy beyond what is healthy and I’d fear for Bilic’s personal safety if he were to join Fenerbahce.
Crazy fans out there who may not be able to forgive and forget.
They may have hugged and kissed him at the airport when he left.
Those same fans could be waiting with a switchblade near his house if he ever decided to manage Fenerbahce.
    Ain’t gonna happen.
