Slaven Bilic has admitted he’s a massive fan of Manu Lanzini. and the growing influence the midfielder is having on the Irons.

Talking to the official website he said: ““He started the season with a big injury and a big disappointment that he couldn’t go to play for Argentina at the Olympic Games.

The he needed a bit of time to get into good shape and all that, and the team helped him.

“Of course he is now also helping the team and he’s a top player who is basically making all the players around him feel more comfortable on the ball, on the pitch, playing with more confidence, knowing if they’re in trouble they can pass to him and he will always make that space available for them. That is crucial.

“I’m a big fan of him. He’s a very young player with his ups and downs and he has to stay focussed and totally in his game and in football he can achieve great things.”

He is growing all the time as a player, last season he did some nice things but had little end result but this season he has improved and is beginning to deliver, I think he should replace Noble but we all know Slav disagrees with that. Tomorrow I don’t expect Noble to make a single tackle, he might be the player who has covered the most miles but all of it chasing and none of it in the right place to intercept, hopefully putting this down will bok it and he will have the game of his life COYI !!!

usually when a player replaces another player he plays in the same position.

I think that Nobles usual position is where Lanzini is best suited Sleeps, deeper than he usually plays, he may not be as combative as Noble when he plays well but he actually breaks up play by making interceptions, he can also hold onto the ball and start off attacks with an accurate forward pass. It frustrates me when I hear Bilic saying he is looking for a player like Modric when he has a junior version in Lanzini, lets say for instance he signed Modric where would he play him ? If he isn’t going to drop Noble would he replace Obiang ?

Dont you dare say anything about Mark Noble Westham32.You will get sleepinwithdafishes telling you you nothing about football because all you understand is players running fast lol

I am dreading the game to be honest Stan, hopefully the atmosphere will lift the players, a mate of mine who is a Spuds supporter said he has bet on us to win 2- 1 I asked him what he had been smoking and could I have some 😀

Yes I expect Noble to get left behind as well by his perceived lack of pace.
