Bilic on transfers: ‘We are not panicking’

|

bilicHammer manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed West Ham have not given up on completing a permanent deal for Barcelona midfielder Alex Song but said to expect a maximum of two additional players.

Speaking about Alex Song Bilic said “We are in contact but it’s not for the media yet”

“We are not panicking, we are good: if we can find a player, or maximum two, who are going to make us better then we definitely want to do it, we have to like the player, and the player has to be free, or payable and a good investment for the club. I’m happy with my squad, the transfer window is still very open and there’s a possibility some players will come and some will go.” Bilic added.

  • Si Hammers says:

Haha,NAVAJO all in caps, lol, funny.Yes all in caps he is a man with a plan & we should trust him i think 😉

  • bubs says:

If we can get Sow and Kante it would be great and if Halilovic comes on loan all our dreams could come true for this season
    I trust him 100%

I have to agree with you on those three bubs but I still think Charlie Austin or Loic Remy would be my preference for a forward . But then I am one of the dreamers who would still like Ravel Morrison at the club especially now Slav is at the helm .

    • NAVAJO quoting Rodney King says:

I liked Rav as well but his mindset is off, anyways, I think the Young Viking and Lanzini will fill that void…

  • Chicken Runner says:

  • Vic Hammertime says:

  • canchaz says:

Everything that Bilic has said and done confirms what I have been saying for some time, that there is no indication there is any appetite or plan to cough up a lot of money for another striker…”I am happy with my squad but if a good free transfer or loan deal and the player fits in our plans then we might go for one or a maximum of two but they would have to be free”.
Unless he is ‘snowing’ everybody, then our main business is done and 12 or 15 mil. Strikers are only in the minds of the rumour mill spreaders

  • bubs says:

Never once does he say they must be loans or freebies,
What he is saying is that if he can release a player and his wages and a better player came along he would push for a deal,
Why would he be snowing anyone most are happy with this squad, but then we have the doubters and natural miserable people,
    Some are never happy
