West Ham boss, Slaven Bilic, is clearly a fully paid up member of the Andy Carroll fan club and ready to release him on Arsenal at the London Stadium.
Bilic has his fingers crossed for a repeat of the heroics which saw AC score a hat-trick against Arsenal in this fixture last season and believes he is the best in the Premier League at what he does and says he is rarely below par and — at his best — unstoppable.
He said: ‘I was a defender and no defender is comfortable when he is in the box. He was unstoppable (against Arsenal last season).
He was great during that game and all the games that he was available. I can’t remember many games when he was below par. He knows what he is capable of doing. All he needs is to feel good in his body.’
‘He is a good player, not only heading or putting the ball in. That doesn’t make you a great player. He’s got all that but he’s probably the best in the league at that for me.
Me thinks Hugh has used all of his journalistic licence with a heading like this.
