Bilic’ Reid/Cresswell worries ahead of Palace

ReidyAaron Cresswell and Winston Reid could miss the trip to Palace this weekend.

Slaven Bilic revealed the two were carrying minor knocks and could miss the game ayt his morning press conference earlier this morning.

Angelo Ogbonna will be fit to play, and could fill in at left back, but Alex Song and despite, reports to the contrary earlier in the week, Enner Valencia are not available.

Bilic said: “With Cresswell it is just a minor one, we will see today or tomorrow. With Reidy it is not a big one but we will see today or tomorrow if one, both or none of them are involved against Palace.

“I am pleased with the others returning though. They are all important players, we are pleased to have them back. “Andy was only injured a little bit, it was only minor so he is fine.

“Valencia and Ogbonna are both back after longer injuries. Ogbonna has been training for two or three days. Valencia has been out since July, it was a long break, but he is back. He is a great player for us, he is one of the biggest assets on the pitch.

“He looks sharp, now it is just fitness to slowly get him into shape to be fit for a game. Although he played in that practice game, he only played 20 minutes, he still needs a few weeks.

“He is not in contention to play but when I see him in training and he is doing thing, I think maybe Saturday? But no we need to be safe.”

Alex Song is two, maximum three weeks away. He will be back with us now and then just to get his match fitness up.”
