Slaven Bilic is looking for home comforts when the team run on to the London Stadium for the first time this season this evening.
Commenting ahead of the game he said: “It’s good to play at home again – the home form is the key
“The players know we have to begin physically, to go back to basics, dig in. Go back to those things like being together, character, chin up, close them down.
“It is about that and through that the quality will come. That’s what they know, 100 per cent, and that is the most important thing – much more important than the other things.
“If you remember in the first season, we had big games for different reasons. The whole of last season was like that, so I’m used to it. We’ve been there before and we showed that we can cope with it.
“We showed in difficult moments we have the quality and the character – as individuals and as a team – to get out of that situation. It means we can do it again this season.”
What we need , Slaven is to stop playing with one up front and get back to grass roots good old fashioned English football . All this modern continental style football is not for us . Please stop being so stubborn and get on with it . We need a unbeaten run of five or six games without conceding otherwise we are doomed to the bottom half of the table and worse off than last season . Take the criticism on the chin and get back to a formation that makes sense with the squad we have . It’s your call and the players need to respond to it.,
Which , by the way is also down to you in the long run . These are professional players that shouldn’t need too much motivation but , something is missing . Tonight is the time to put that missing something back into our game .

I’m just trying to say , Noble Warrior , that English football has been slowly but surely deviating from our long established normal style and adopting the system which has been popular on the continent for years . Maybe it’s down to too many foreign managers , I don’t know ! , but the good old fashioned blunderbust football seems to have all but disappeared.
Personally I hate seeing a ” one up front ” system and would like us to get back to what we
Were accustomed to before the continental influence . Even our National team have been trying for years to play in a style that doesn’t suit us .
