Slaven Bilic: ‘The money in football is absurd’

SlavSlaven Bilic has described the money in football as “absurd”

West Ham have not spent any money on transfer fees so far in this transfer window and manager Bilic has made an interesting comparison of the amounts that modern players earn in relation to the music industry.
Speaking to Nova TV, the West Ham manager reportedly said:

“The money in football is absurd. It should not be like that but it is the same in other sports and in the world of entertainment. Someone like Justin Bieber is making more money than the Rolling Stones. I do not even mention Led Zeppelin or Elvis Presley.”

Bilic added: “Everything has come out of the water. Nothing is normal anymore.”

  2. Peanuts compared to some ? The man’s right ffs , money and greed is , ( has ) killed this game ,

  3. Says the man that is paid £3M a year to manage a football club. Something I do every Sunday for nothing.

  4. That’s not on john is it , I’d ask McDonalds for at least a happy meal and a fruit shoot 🙂

  5. Would you go to work 7 days a week for nothing John? When you agree wages, do you not want at least the current going rate?
