Bilic: “We have to learn from our mistakes”

|

HappybilicSlaven Bilic has agreed that the Irons missed out on a “great opportunty” at Southampton yesterday declaring: “Of course we are gutted.”

And he added: “It’s a game we didn’t deserve to lose – we made a sloppy start but were the better team for three-quarters of the game.”

However, once again he was forced to admit that the team simply cannot start in the seemingly apathetic and often slovenly manner which has marked o many of their perfotmances this season.

He said: “The end of the first half, the start of the second half and especially after they went down to ten men we were better, but we can’t start like that.”
Speaking to the official site he said: ““We helped them a lot. They defended well, even with ten men you can fill the box with numbers and we were getting into the situations where you need some extra quality.

“A better cross, or some excellent movement , but we didn’t do it. We didn’t test their keeper [often enough] and they defended really good. We are gutted that we lost this way.

“Tuesday is the next game, we have to lift ourselves up, learn from our mistakes and beat Liverpool.”

Hope that means everyone Slav you as well,
You can give the same half time talk you give when we our 1 down at half time at the start if you like,
You need a target man be it Carroll,Sakho or the new boy,
Song and Noble doe not work one must go or both,
Take Enner off the Prozac and calm him down he has so much ability but is rushing his game
Just my opinion and still willing to learn,
Just get it right on Tuesday its our biggest game of the season,
And stick some chilli in there jock straps against the spuds

We do. Disappointing because it was a game there for the taking, none the less, not the end of the world. Sometimes it’s harder to play against ten men because they reorganize & defend a lead if they have one. Southampton are a good side & a draw would have made most happy. We know what we are doing wrong by starting slow & not taking our chances in front of goal. We have a good squad, a couple of talented players to come back & no reason why we can’t address the problems. Our first season under Bilic & if you had of said that we’d be sixth at this stage of the season at the start i’d be stoked. To push on we need to be more agressive from the kick off though & more positive with our movement. A loss but we are not the only ones losing games we expect to do better. It’s that sort of season.
