Bilic:”They were more lethal and cruel”

bilic-gloom

Slaven Bilic put his finger on the Irons problems by describing Everton as “more lethal and more cruel” than the Irons.

Speaking after the game he said: “While you are always not happy after a defeat, I am more disappointed because we could have taken something from this game.

“I’m not saying that they didn’t deserve it, because they were more mature, but we should have done better.

“They were more lethal and more cruel when they were offered something from us. We didn’t capitalise on our chances.”

  1. Hit the nail on the head Slav. The fact is we do not have and have not had for long time a lethal prolific striker ie a Lukaku who will bag 20 a season.Take Antonio out of the equation and we have not had a single goal from our so called strikers. We desperately need to resolve this and fast as the chances are being created but alas no cutting edge.

  2. The only difference today was as H64 said Lukaku… The squads were evenly matched – just that one quality striker made the difference. Would love to see training to see what Zaza offers over the others in training because I would rather see fletcher than zaza today. If i were bilic I would sit sakho down and tell him he’s got till the summer to earn a new contract, because he’s by far the best striker we have!
