Billy celebrates win with Hammers

American West Ham fan professional golfer Billy Horschel carded a seven-under final round of 65 to win the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Surrey by one shot this evening. He finished on 19 under to become only the second American after the legendary Arnold Palmer in 1975 to win the European Tour’s flagship event.

England’s Laurie Canter, who shot 67, failed to force a play-off after missing a 15-foot birdie on the 18th.

Horschel revealed he is going to celebrate his impressive BMW PGA win with a couple of the West Ham players taking out captain Mark Noble and Declan Rice for dinner tonight.

Earlier this year the golfer proclaimed his love for West Ham after he watched the film Green Street, he had a special golf bag made with the West Ham logo and the club helped with approval to use the logo as well as providing the graphics for the manufacturers of thee iuniquee bag.
