BlueCo’s Chelsea clearout offers rich pickings for Potter

Whilst the main subject of a new report out this afternoon may be mirth-inducing for West Ham fans, dig a little deeper and there is significant cause for optimism that several Hammers’ midfield targets known to Graham Potter are to be sold off by BlueCo, Chelsea’s parent company charged with slimming down the unwieldy, hugely expensive squad.

The report by footballfancastcom focuses on millionaire journeyman Raheem Sterling planning another move, running out of London Clubs that haven’t paid him handsomely to sit on the bench – the next apparently being Fulham- b8t within the report there is clear evidence of Macaulay and Potter’s former team preparing to cash in on some serious talent, following Jõao Felix out of the door:

‘Felix could soon be followed by many more, with Ben Chilwell, Renato Veiga, Tosin Adarabioyo, Christopher Nkunku, Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Trevoh Chalobah, Carney Chukwuemeka, Lesley Ugochukwu, Armando Broja, Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Alfie Gilchrist and Nicolas Jackson all tipped to potentially leave Chelsea as well”

The blues’ list of ‘no longer needed’ talent could offer Graham Potter rich pickings: Seemingly half the Hammers’ recruitment team as well as Potter himself was at Stamford Bridge: One or two of those players would slot straight in at London Stadium subject of course to the Irons finding a way to pay on the never-never.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

That is actually a decent list, most of those players havnt really had an extended run in their team.
Another thought, I wonder if Potter slotted Soucek into the Striker role? I think he would do better than what we have atm.

So Chelsea yet again finding ways around PSR by trying to sell Tosin twice! Ha

In my opinion, from this list of proposed candidates, only two deserve special attention: Trevoh Chalobah, who recently confirmed his class by playing in a club tournament in the USA this summer, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who has been playing steadily for the last five years. I would offer the Chelsea management 45 million for both of them. And for this amount, I think, we can sell three players who are not suitable for us: Soucek, Aguerde and Mavropanos. And let them think. And I also have a very obsessive idea that I have long wanted to express in the form of a comment. We can try to offer the management of the French Toulouse an exchange of Naif Aguerde for Charlie Cresswell plus 5 million. We will get a high-class defender who played an excellent season for Toulouse and won a trophy with the youth team in the summer.

Sullivan reportedly seeking Potter to lower his expectations! Truly you can’t get much lower than Callum Wilson! Can’t wait to see who the eventual winner is, if Wilson signs then Potter loses all credibility and nothings changed! However, no Wilson and it’s a sign of more astute and diligent recruitment and better stewardship but I really can’t see that happening, can you?

We keep being told WHU don’t have the money to buy any of those listed. It is looking more and more like Rodriguez, JWP and Mavrapanos will still be playing at LS.

  • Paul Basnett says:

In all seriousness none of those are coming to West Ham. Too much money.
It’s depressing really that we have two signings and one of those a free.
That’s despite laughingly having money to spend without selling anyone and selling someone and not reinvesting more than half that money.
    Pathetic.

  • Jeeps says:

May want to off load them but be assured they will still want top dollar.
