Board advised: “Keep an eye open”

So David Moyes stays but according to one Hammers fan, him being told as much may not be the best idea the board has ever had.

ClaretandHugh forum member AussieHammer21 believes such stories and statements within them mean the manager may take things a little too much for granted.

As explained when breaking the news Claret and Hugh has made it clear this is not a dreaded vote of confidence and Aussie Hammer declares: “I know it’s easy to say but he (Moyes) doesn’t have to try too hard then?

I’m hoping his personal pride would want an improvement but telling someone their job is safe may not be the way forward.

He’s paid on performances which right now aren’t very good and my message to the board is to keep an eye on available managers as a change of heart may be possible a change of heart.”

He adds: “Please, as a lifelong fan of over 50 years don’t leave it until we are in a relegation battle to make an already tough decision!!

  1. Moyes must go now end of. Poch in

  2. “Don’t leave it until we are in a relegation battle” – Hello ! We’re ALREADY in a relegation battle!

  3. You could not be more correct. How about Tuchel ? The Board want a Leipzig.

  4. If there is to be decision on change look at the previous history of the board Bilic and Pellegrini dumped in November and will make sense to review this November during the six week pause in the season. Gives time to make considered decisions as easy to get rid but not easy to replace. By the way in both previous cases David Moyes replaced the departed and rescued us from relegation.
A further point the two names mentioned are very unlikely touch a club not in Champions League and their previous jobs involved mega rich owners best players and oh dear got sacked. Be careful what you wish for!
