Board and Allardyce at odds over Ravel

Ravel-Morrison-v-BarkleyWest Ham co-owner has revealed the board are at odds with manager Sam Allardyce over Ravel Morrison’s future declaring they want to keep him and the manager doesn’t.

Speaking to TalkSport the co-owner declared: “I think I he said in a press conference, if I read it correctly, he’s not part of his plans for this season.

“I think he said that in New Zealand but we don’t agree with that. We would like to sit down and give him a longer contract.”

“We do like him, we do see him as part of the long-term future of the club but we have to agree it with the manager because there’s no point signing a player he’s not going to play.”

Another Hammers star whose future is in doubt is defender Winston Reid, who is understood to have rejected terms on a new contract.

But Sullivan added: “I think we will get to a deal with Winston… So both balls are in the air.”

  1. Interesting from Sullivan yesterday, Out of the blue phone-in into talkSPORT Sports Bar calling in from abroad to give over 14 minutes of very intimate chat on current developments from inside the Club, broken down into 3 podcasts you can find links below, well worth a listen. For all his faults the bloke is clearly a passionate Hammers fan like us all and wants the best for the Club, but is torn as a business owner too!!! #COYI
