Board’s peculiar Moyes side issue

Claret and Hugh‘s e mails to the board explaining how we and many forum members feel about Moyes is one thing. But there is a very peculiar side issue to their responses and apparent readiness to offer the geezer a new deal, assuming that is we haven’t entirely misread the situation!

Board’s peculiar Moyes side issue

Back in 2023 when we asked the same people whether he would be offered a new contract we were told: “Last season was awful and there’s a lot of this one to go so we will take our time in making a decision.”

That was all very reasonable and made perfect sense yet it seems that with the season only half done, results getting worse and the Euro League last 16 games still to be played, the decision is close to being made.

The big question is WHY?

Ok, results might pick up and we might make it into the quarter finals and further in Europe. The big clue word there is MIGHT!

Neither may happen yet we are apparently in a position where the board is going to make its mind up way before the end of what could be an awful season thus denying its original plan to ensure that plenty of time passes before a mistake is made.

Don’t get it and I’m not sure they do either.
