German Club Borussia Dortmund is the team West Ham supporters are most likely to cheer on this weekend when Bundesliga football returns.  Dortmund received nearly 29%  from readers in yesterday’s Claret and Hugh poll.

Haller’s old Frankfurt team was placed second with 14% of the reader vote.

RB Leipzig came third with 10% with Schalke 04 in 4th place with 7%

The others consisted of Union Berlin and  Borussia Monchengladbach both 6% each

FC Koln 5%, Bayern Munich an SC FreiburgHertha BSC both 4%

Werder Bremen 3%, Wfl Wolfsburg, Fortuna Dusseldorf SC Paderborn all 2%

Augsburg, Bayer Leverkusen and Mainz 05 all receivd 1.6% of the vote while TSG Hoffenheim was the least fancied German club with 1.35% of the votes.

The Geman top-flight league resumes this Saturday and Sunday with all eyes on our European colleagues to see what happens.

The Bundesliga will be played behind closed doors with crowd noises pipped in and cardboard cutouts of fans at some stadia.
