Boss has hot prospect training with first team squad

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has called young Nathan Holland down to Rush Green as he bids to get a seriously close look at the youngster.

He is currently the only under 23 involved in the Rush Green training set up as the manager and his team bid to get out season back on track.

The hottest of the under-23 prospects has the sort of blinding speed from a standing start the team is crying out for and also has the guile and trickery to go past players.

He has the legs and speed desperately needed in a Hammers team which thus far has appeared less than mobile and athletic in its opening games.

The former Everton youngster has been hailed as the hottest young prospect on the academy scene for a long time and is working hard to let the manager see that he is at least ready for a spot on the bench in a squad demanding some real legs.

Both Declan Rice and Ryan Fredericks too have been working hard to press their way back into the manager’s thinking ahead of an Arsenal game which looks more and more demanding in the present circumstances.

  1. Certainly comfortable with ball at his feet not sure how good he is at pressing and tackling perhaps those that watch the u23’s can inform ? If he can tackle try him out against someone in central midfield would love to see him come through COYI !!!

  2. He Needa to be given a go …he could be just what we need

  3. Based on what I saw in the U23 game v Man City, NH isn’t yet ready for the step up I’m afraid, may have been a bad day at the office but pretty disappointing nevertheless.

  4. In the youth games I’ve watched, I’ve been more impressed with Jahmal Hector-Ingram. I hope Pelle’s looking at him as well. Dan Kemp’s also got promise.
