Boss reveals the ‘goal’ in his head

David Moyes says that he is aiming to take West Ham to the next level, although he admits that the club have enjoyed a sensational year.

The Irons are pushing for Champions League qualification this year and are also preparing for a fifth round FA Cup tie against Southampton tomorrow night.

Moyes admits that he is constantly trying to find ways to keep things fresh, but he believes the club have the potential to keep growing and keep improving over the next few years.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the clash with Saints, he said: “I am having to go to my little book and try to think of things to do to keep this fresh, keep this going.

“We really have had an incredible year, how good the points tally was in 2021. Even before that and then what we are doing this year alone.

“Trying to see that through for the next few months is the goal and my head is then already onto what the next stage, what’s the next level, what can I build, what can I try and achieve going forward and what do the club want to achieve.”
