Well, well a deserved draw at the seaside.
We showed passion ( four yellow cards) hit the post twice and for a so-called team in crisis we did ok.
But sadly, as seen last season on far too many occasions as soon as we take the lead, the Moyesian tactics of playing deeper and deeper came into play once again.
Anyway , the game itself.
Ten minutes into the second half, our wonderful Jarrod Bowen scored a cracker. He picked up some scrappy ball from midfield, drew on his inner Alan Devonshire (ask your Dad) and curled an absolute beauty from 25 yards out into the net
It has been 67 days since our last competitive game, in which Bowen scored our last competitive goal – and he has done it again !
But as mentioned earlier we retreated into our claret and blue shell and the inevitable happened…
After a seemingly endless defensive display, perhaps the Cherries best player Antoine Semenyo took a speculative shot from distance which clips off of a West Ham heel and falls very, very kindly for Solanke who did not miss.
Bear in mind this is the first time for God knows how long we have actually got a point from our first game.
