Bowen deal update

|

West Ham have revealed this afternoon  that talks are still continuing with Jarrod Bowen’s agent over a new deal.

Despite reports that the new contract has been agreed Claret and Hugh has been told by a key source that is not the case at this stage.

However, he insisted the deal now looks close and hopes are high that it will be completed sooner rather than later.

The Hammers have been in negotiations with Bowen’s agent for several months but the breakthrough came earlier this week when we understand Bowen had some proposals put to him which have swung him very much towards agreeing to remain at the club.

No details have yet emerged over the length of a new deal, or any other clauses which may be inserted into it, but we understand that a buy out clause – thought to be around £50 million – has now been withdrawn as one of the required options.
