Bowen set for scan

Jarrod Bowen is set to undergo a scan on his heel after limping out of West Ham’s defeat to Liverpool on Saturday evening.

The winger was substituted in the 51st minute and replaced by Said Benrahma, who failed to have any sort of impact on the game.

Bowen needed the help of two physios to actually make his way off the pitch, as he looked to be struggling to put any sort of weight on his feet.

Manager David Moyes has now confirmed that Bowen needs to undergo a scan so the Irons can ascertain the severity of the issue, which appears to have been sustained after a tackle from Andrew Robertson in the penalty area.

Speaking after the 1-0 defeat, in which Sadio Mane scored the winner, Moyes said, per BBC: “They seem to think that the tackle from Robertson, around his heel area. Not sure where but we will get him scanned. Jarrod has been exceptional for us so the last thing we want is for him to be injured.

“It could be nothing, but in the same breath I didn’t like the way he wasn’t able to put his weight through his foot so that worries me.”

Bowen has been in electric form all season and has scored eight goals and provided 10 assists in 28 games throughout the league campaign.
