Bowen under scrutiny again as Hammers win

|

Jarrod Bowen produced a magnificent goal-scoring performance against Leeds and enhanced his England chances in front of watching Gareth Southgate.

The England manager was spotted in the director’s box and was believed to be running the rule again over the Hammers wide man.

The former Hull City striker produced a fabulous performance capped by scoring with a fine shot under the Leeds keeper from a great assist from Mikey Antonio in the final seconds.

Bowen has been in magnificent form for most of the campaign and is surely already well up there  in the Hammers of the season stakes.

Southgate is now believed to have watched him on several occasions as the 25 year old’s claims for a place in the World Cup squad grow.

Sitting alongside the England manager was former West Ham managing director Angus Kinnear who left the club in 2017 to join Leeds where he has now become the club’s chief executive officer.
