Bowen update ahead of Spurs clash

By Hughie Southon

Jarrod Bowen has no chance of appearing in the match against Spurs on Sunday.

There had been suggestions that he may have an outside chance of making the squad for the game but we have been told this morning there is no possibility of him being fit .

That we have won two hugely important fixtures without the No 20 is encouraging but it would have been a huge boost to see him back in the claret and blue over there.

David Moyes has revealed this morning that there are one of two players with bumps and bruises but that’s inevitable and we understand that there are no serious problems within the squad from last night..

Bowen, however, remains in trouble with a bruised heel although there have also been a reports that he has also chipped a bone.

However, two scans have not shown such a problem and that the bruising continues to be the problem which is extraordinarily frustrating for everyone
