Bowen update brings fantastic Christmas news

West Ham fans received a really nice Christmas gift this morning via our latest exclusive story from the Hammers corridors of power via  David Sullivan.

For weeks since Jarrod Bowen agreed a new seven year deal with the club, gossip – as usual on X as I believe Twitter is now called – have circulated claiming the No 20 has agreed a release clause.

Bowen update brings fantastic Christmas news

Despite the leading Hammers goal scorer regularly explaining that his only aim in life is to become a hammers legend, loves the club and never wants to leave, the same old depressing stuff has been circulating on the platform where I usually insert an o for the I.

He has said many times that he decided to sign for that length of time as we were the only club to show faith in him – he is an honourable man.

And here’s the truth. There is no release clause or any other clause in Jarrod’s contract which could see him leave the club by a club offering a particular sum.

That has come from the man who did the deal – David Sullivan – who spoke to him one on one, cutting his agent out of talks helped by technical director Tim Steidmen.

Commenting, DS told CandH this morning exclusively: “We had a one on one meeting meeting 6 weeks or so ago and sorted everything out within 12 hours. There is absolutely no release clause. He loves West Ham and has total security with us
