Bowen “very close” to new Hammers deal agreement

Jarrod Bowen is very close to signing a new deal with the Hammers.

Our major source inside the London Stadium e-mailed us a few minutes ago to declare: “After a meeting I think he is ready to sign, but of course it is not done until it is done.”

It’s amazing news at a time when the player was being linked with a move to either Liverpool or Newcastle United.

In the meantime ITK Fabrizio Roman is tweeting that the player has already agreed a new deal but that is premature.

In a tweet he said that the deal was all done but that is not quite the case although he added that the No 20 made it clear he wanted to be a part of the West Ham project.

This is the best news of this or any other week this season and will give the squad a tremendous boost as they go into tomorrow’s game against Newcastle.

And who knows whether this will encourage Lucas Paqueta to stay if the Manchester City chips ever come down.

This is the beginning of a new era. Jarrod signing for us is the catalyst of a new beginning. We are becoming a new force which will assist us keeping the Likes of Paqueta. I honestly believe we are at the beginning of something really remarkable. Our starting 11 is as good as anything in the Premier league.
