Bowen’s fingers crossed as Tigers arrive

Time for Jarrod Bowen to reopen his goal-scoring account

Jarrod Bowen could be forgiven for knocking on the manager’s door this morning asking to be included in tonight’s Carabao Cup starting eleven.

With Hull arriving at the London Stadium, the winter signing would love to get a start against his former team-mates who have begin the season with two league and one cup win.

Bowen is widely seen as likely to be kept back for the game against Wolves at the weekend but clearly has an eye on his chances this evening.

It didn’t go unnoticed by the Tigers fans that his departure from their club coincided with a slide down the table which resulted in relegation to League One.

Now he wants the chance to kill off and domestic Cup hopes they may hold as the irons look to get back 0n track after successive defeats against Newcastle and Arsenal in the opening two weeks of the new season.

Commenting at https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/september/22-september/jarrod-bowen-im-proper-excited-weve-drawn-hull-city he said: “I’m proper excited that we’ve drawn Hull City in the next round of the Carabao Cup and it will be good to see a lot of faces before and after the game.

“But for the 90 minutes it will be business as usual. We want to progress into the next round. We’re only a couple of wins off reaching the quarter-finals and we want to have a good cup run.

“For me personally, it will be great to play against them and to see everyone but, like I said, I’m a West Ham player now and I’ve got to do everything I can to help us get into the next round.”
