Brady bangs on about sticking by Moyes

The West Ham Tory Baroness

By Hughie Southon

Karren Brady has decided to publicly back David Moyes – a strange move from a vice chairman given the club’s main shareholder in David Sullivan has already done so.

And her decision to do so after the worst performance we have seen in many months, maybe years, at Brighton tells us more about her than ourselves.

Like others who believe Moyes is the right man for the job she has decided to give it large but then as a part time politician with numerous job other than the one at West Ham that’s probably to be expected too.

Her words are unnecessary and obviously inflammatory to many as well being welcomed by the pro Moyes lobby.

We won’t repeat our reasons for wanting him gone but most know – keeping him is an acceptance that 16th position with two months of the season left is fine.

But centrally she has again decided not to help herself by irritating a section of the supporter base when it is unrequired given that we all know the club’s position.

Silly decision by the Tory baroness who like Moyes seems to think players need time to settle in at the same time as the ashn faced one is clainming he has bought in order to qualify for Europe THIS season!

I can’t put any pressure on David Moyes because he puts enough on himself,” Brady told BBC Radio London.¬†

The really important thing is for everyone to stick together to be really focused, understand what the issues are.

“It’s been a disappointing season. After two great seasons and the success we had in Europe, things haven’t gone the way we wanted.

“We spent an extraordinarily large amount of money in the summer. Undoubtedly, it takes people time to settle in and create a new way of playing with such a lot of new players.”

“As owners, if you look at our track record in the past 30 years, we’re not hire-and-fire types, we like to give people our support.

“We believe David Moyes is as enthusiastic, as driven and as passionate for the football club as we are and the supporters are.

“Hopefully things will turn. Hopefully things will keep on improving.”

  1. Total rubbish which will come back to bite her..

  2. Thus confirming she knows as much about football as David Sullivan
