West Ham’s famous Insider has found himself exiled to the cold outside.
The official website has been featuring news and gossip from the thinly disguised source who yesterday made some interesting revelations in what was turned out to be his last appearance.
Among the information he shared with fans was that a £20 million bid had been made to a Scottish club for a striker and that there was no truth in the suggestion that Michail Antonio was being hunted by by Chelsea.
It was a mould-breaking feature from the club who have bowed to the view of some fans that it was all too much information and that transfer dealings should be kept secret.
And thus West ham is to adopt the same policy as every other club in the land who give out as little ‘real’ information as possible and have closed down the column.
Karren Brady responding to a follower who claimed the column made us look unprofessional said: “I have asked for ‘the insider’ be removed from the website and it will never be repeated again.”
What a shame! It was silly, it was fun and there was the odd little gem of information in there showing that West ham was not prepared to play by the usual rules which appears to believe a football club should behave in the same way as a secret society or intelligence agency.
Daft and a bit petty.
Well they do say 90 odd % of football forum users are the moaners amongst the clubs support. Its certainly been proved on sites across the board today.
I am glad the insider has gone, it has been a PR disaster, talking about players you want to sign from other clubs is out of order, then when you get nowhere near such players just makes us look stupid.
What she needs to sort out is the disgraceful stewarding. They insisted on using a metal detector on my 8 year old tonight. Stick your stadium up your a*se because I ain’t coming back until you sort it out.
5-0 I believe against City.Perhaps the Brady bunch ought to look at themselves instead of getting involved in the leaking of information?
Aye it was a thumping but however much it hurts i cant help but love watching David Silva when he is on form. The chap is pure class.
Fans take themselves too seriously Hugh. The trouble with some of them is the fact they are bloody obsessed with talking about West Ham,so busy letting the world know how they would run West Ham.Of course they would be a roaring success as well because they know all there is to be known about running a football club. You see the same ones everyday of the week giving their advice to the world & its wife.
“made us look unprofessional” the chairman’s son is delivering news on twitter instead of the club delivering news surely that is unprofessional
I only said on Twitter this morning Insider? had become a complete Joke!
