Brave words Slav …all we need now is to deliver!

|

A Lanzini C&HSlaven Bilic has this morning delivered a big boast in warning the Premier League to be frightened of our awesome array of front men.

His bravery is laudable but the problem with boasts is that if they aren’t delivered on all hell can broke loose and the person concerned can find himself pretty vulnerable.

With his position under constant scrutiny and a match in front of us which not many believe we will lose, either his timing was not the best or he felt he has nothing to lose.

Should we not get maximum points this afternoon I reckon the next couple of weeks during the international break will be pure hell on earth!

I really hope  the manager believes every word he uttered but clearly we are very unlikely to see Manu Lanzini from the start and he is the guy who gives us the tempo which has been so sorely missing this season.

Until he arrives on the pitch however, the manager does have a big opportunity to attack a team which like ourselves has struggled to make much impact this season.

Thus hopefully he will play the 4-4-2 many are hoping for and at last truly start to threaten the sort of team – with respect to Swansea – we should be beating.

With Lanzini available off the bench presumably this is the team I’m hoping to see: Adrian, Zabaleta, Reid, Ogbonna, Masuaku; Antonio, Noble, Kouyate, Arnautovic. Sakho, Hernandez.

As I said earlier this week however, I’m holding my breath as it seems Carroll’s presence is a given if he’s fit!

It’s not the 4-4-2 we’ve been waiting for, it’s playing Carol and Hernandez together as a front pairing. Not having Hernandez in his natural position is what’s costing us.
Four at the back has proven not to be effective so all it leaves really is to play a 3-5-2 but lets see the team he puts out today?

    1) Adrian will not be in goal
    2) Carroll has an amazing record against Swansea
    3) Masuku, as good as his cross was, can’t defend so I can’t see Creswell being dropped.

For me this just shows the pressure that Slav is under coming out with statements like this.last throw of the dice if this backfires on him it’s bye bye.

What with players giving it , and then Manager giving it ,,,,, today is the day . Lose today or only pick up one point will or should be enough to see Bilic gone . We can’t kid ourselves any longer .

IMO he s should of gone but if we don’t get 3 points today then that’s it …i like Slav don’t get me wrong and I’ll support but he isn’t the man for us IMHO… Now if we go on a massive run then I’ll hold my hands up but can’t see it ..
