As West Ham’s transfer window speculation becomes increasingly bizarre, reports are emerging that the Hammers are eyeing a move for Newcastle United’s Kieran Trippier.

The report also suggests that West Ham’s deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka has fallen through, leading the club to shift their attention to Toon and England defender Trippier.

It must be noted that these are completely unsubstantiated rumour’s, and C&H will seek to verify them with our top source at the club as soon as possible.

Negotiations between the Irons and Manchester United have become increasingly stagnant over the past few days, with the sticking point believed to be a £3m loyalty payment due to Wan-Bissaka.

Man U appear to have repeatedly moved the financial goalposts with the transfer deal which is a situation that is familiar to West Ham.

The most recent change of transfer fee has seen the price of AWB fluctuate between £10-18m with the Old Trafford club now reportedly demanding the Hammers pay the right backs loyalty payment.

trippier agents hard at work lol

the kids on twitter are doing all the leg work as we speak

hey, if it works you can hardly blame the agents

as gonzo covered in the previous report we’re likely striking a deal with the young spanish RB

the only issue now is we need a home-grown player to use our last squad spot, that we we offload zouma, soucek, etc

Hardly an abundance of r/bks whose going to cover him when he’s injured?
Coufal? At least without European football workload will be less.
    Don’t need anymore aged players.

Time of Gonzo to pull out the poppycockamomiter on this one

  • Bill Ryan says:

Why we targeting a player who’s the same age as coufal what is the point if Newcastle wants shot of him what does that tell you, we should be challenging them next season so why do we want their cast offs

  • Billy says:

Those that didnt want Rodriguez or Fullkrug because they think they’re too old at 30 and 31 are just going to love the 33 year old Trippier. Those that think the average age of a squad has to be below a certain number won’t be happy. I think Trippier could still do a job but I wouldn’t want to pay too much for him. He did literally transfer Newcastle only a couple of years back. Hopefully he’s still got it. Him and Coufal should manage to get through the season though. Having said all that I can’t see it happening.

  • Ray says:

Just in case there is an ounce of truth in this, hell no, not at any price.
Steidten should scour the planet and come up with a realistic hungry alternative while appearing to remain interested in Obi-Wan until August 29th.

  • Matt says:

Sign the young Girona RB for £20m, Zoums out and Challobah in!

Defence and home grown issues sorted.

I can’t see us signing Trippier due to his age and wages. Think this might be Newcastle or his agent using AWB talks breaking down to put him in the shop window.

  • Andy Stone says:

I’m quite excited about this one. I’ve kept myself in good shape so maybe being 60 isn’t the hurdle I thought it would be. I wonder if I’ll need an agent.

  • De says:

    man u taking the ****? what a shock 😲

  • Toby says:

Also breaking news, princess di is dead…what would we do without you Gonzo! Lol

  • Bib says:

This is like being in a timewarp.. west ham buying old hasbeens for them to fill the physios room. Did moyse really leave welcome to the red bulls**** model ..nolan back as captain

  • Kevin Bennett says:

Why do we bother trying to deal with ManU, this is the third time in a row they have messed us around with transfers, Lingard, Maguire and now Wan-Bissaka.
If they come to us to buy a player we should do exactly the same to them. That’s two teams that now have disgruntled players (Duran for Villa & AWB for ManU), both willing to sign only for the club to mess up the transfer.
