The transfer of Jean-Clair Todibo to West Ham has not been completed yet.

A senior club source spoke to C&H’s Sean Whetstone within the last hour, revealing that Juventus have not given up hope of signing the French defender.

Speaking to us this afternoon, the top Hammers insider said, “The player is here, but Juventus are on the phone all the time to the agent. We’ve been battling all day.”

It’s important at this stage not to cause alarm. The fact that the defender is in the UK and has completed a medical is crucial. Naturally, Juve will try to scupper the deal, but the reality is they are unable to match West Ham’s transfer offer.

It’s also worth noting that the club is always cautious when a deal is close, and C&H usually gets quoted the obligatory “It ain’t done yet.”

Personally, I’m unconcerned by these turn of events. Unless Juventus have found an extra £20 million down the back of the sofa in the past 24 hours, there is little they can do to derail the deal.

It’s highly likely that the agents are just pressing for the best deal possible for their client.

Not bothered by this news i think it is more for the Juventus fans as the club does not want to look bad in losing out to what they deem a small club…..let them go cry in there vino as we are about to uncork the champagne of victory in this deal.

Juventus desperately trying to offload players like Milik that are refusing to leave. They need to sell to buy. Not going to count on Todibo though until he’s wearing the shirt. Been let down too many times.

Romano just said medical done and set to be confirmed.

Two days ago Juventus put out a short clip saying Todibo welcome to Juventus.
Todibo welcome to a massive club.

Having allegedly passed his medical this surely is happening. If it doesn’t, it’s not meant to be and I would suggest that means the player is not one for us. We all would love a player of his calibre. We all would not want a player that does not want to be a mighty hammer. Please God let’s get this over the line. COYI. Nearly there with a 10/10 sizzling summer business.

Let’s hope it all goes well and we get Todibo signed quickly

Agent just using Juve to squeeze more juice from Sully. It’s a done deal.

One of the many things I apparently do not understand about the transfer process is when I see “Medical complete, announcement due in 24 to 48 hours”. Why? What else needs to be done before this becomes legally binding? I don’t think the medical is so physically taxing that it renders the player incapable of signing his name.
