West Ham are considering a move for Andre Silva, the RB Leipzig striker who could be available on loan.
It is understood that data analyst Maximilian Hahn, whose influence on transfer decisions is growing, has recommended the Portuguese forward.
The 29-year-old first caught attention when he moved from Porto to AC Milan for over £30 million. Subsequent spells at Sevilla and Eintracht Frankfurt followed, with the latter seeing Silva enjoy a prolific season.
Standing at 6ft tall, Silva joined Leipzig from Frankfurt in 2021 for a transfer fee of €23 million but has since struggled to replicate his earlier form.
Sources suggest that West Ham may keep this potential deal in reserve, using it as a fall-back option if priority targets are not secured.
Meanwhile, the club have reportedly been offered another striker described as “proven,” though their identity remains under wraps and has yet to surface in the media.
What is clear from multiple reports is that West Ham are very active in the market, having already made at least two solid bids and multiple enquiries for other players
Sounds like this guy is another expensive chancer … let’s keep our money out of Tim’s hands until Bowen gets back …… Tim hasn’t got a great record for spending wisely this season
don’t you think that POSSIBLY just POSSIBLY clubs will use January to OFFLOAD there unwanted players to clubs that appear desperate !
An very nice guy but a absolutely awful player. He was dreadful at Real Sociedad last season – no threat, no goals, no assists, no link up play and no passion
And he’s more injury prone than Andy Carroll and Fullkrug put together
29 years old and prone to nasty muscle and tendon injuries. Would be a classic January striker but for West Ham!
