Just breaking now is the news that West Ham United have reached an agreement for the transfer of Noussair Mazraoui with Bayern Munich.

The transfer fee has been agreed at 15.5 million euros plus 4 million of add-ons. Importantly there is also a deal in principle between West Ham and the player.

Mazraoui does also play at left back for his national side as PSG’s Achraf Hakimi is the first choice at right back.

The 26 year old Moroccan  has been the subject of intense interest and from West Ham’s perspective was seen as an option to supersede the long drawn out saga regarding trying to negotiate a purchase of either Southampton’s Kyle Walker Peters and Manchester United’s own Aaron Wan Bissaka.

This news came direct from Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg on his X account @Plettigoal. It has subsequently been confirmed and relayed by Sky Sports News in their own X/twitter account.

Importantly the caveat still exists : ‘But it’s not a done deal as yet as important financial details about the deal have to be clarified. All parties involved now working on it. Manchester United still there but West Ham leading the race now.’

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970.. Don't take my comments too seriously, imagine we are having a chat at half time over a pint at L S and "let's disagree without falling out".
