Brilliant Iron who has taken much unfair abuse

Angelo Ogbonna may again become the key figure in our defence when we take on the fifth placed north Londoners this weekend.

With Nayef Aguerd and Kurt Zouma injured and looking set to miss the game Oggy may be our only regular central defender who remains fully fit,

At rising 35 he has been in fine form over recent games and no praise is high enough for the man who has been uncomplainingly through the highs and lows during his West Ham United career,

And here CandH follower “The Cat” pays tribute to the man in a special tribute as he closes in on his eighth year at the club.

I’ve continually had to shake my head during the years that Oggy has been with us.

I remember him playing through the pain with a persistent injury and being called useless and on his return the following season after his end-of-season operation, the same abuse was dished out whilst he got up to speed again.

I’ve never really understood the nonsense directed at a quality player like Angelo. He’s like a fine Italian wine and he actually loves this club.

  1. Top signing top guy, I hope Moyes will be gone soon and the club give him and players like pablo who all the fans love give them a new contract. I really worry when I see Moyes trying to sign players like Phillips. I am delighted the board did not give any serious money in Jan as he has quality players in the squad who are sitting on the bench because of his negative tactics.
