Bristol City 1 West Ham 0
Fabianski:6 Did well to save Cresswell’s blushes with quick feet (yes you did read that correctly). Forced into a save just before half time.
Coufal:3 He and Cornet played like strangers down the right hand side . . . to be fair it’s highly likely they are unfamiliar with one another. Really poor display of passing and ball control.
Mavropanos:3 Horrific back pass gifted Bristol City the opener. Was a nervous wreck afterwards and took a while to settle.
Zouma:6 The singular steadying influence at the start of the game. At least he stood up for himself, unfortunately as captain he needs to lead.
Cresswell:5 Sloppy passing like so many others. Got involved in a scuffle.
Emerson:6 Good cross for cornet. Little flurry of aggression but not really involved in the game until he moved into midfield and became our best player for five minutes.
Soucek:3 Far too many inaccurate passes put his teammates in dangerous 50/50 situations. Forced an excellent save from the keeper.
Ward Prowse:3 No better than the first tie at the London Stadium. The midfield partnership with JWP and Soucek is an awful combination.
Benrahma:2 Busy and tricky but no end product as per usual. Given a red card for kicking out following a poor tackle.
Ings:5 Good turn and shot was just wide. Worked incredibly hard. Bad miss on 35 mins.
Cornet:5 Missed a good chance to level. Great cross for Soucek should have yielded a goal.
Substitutes
Johnson:7 65th min sub for Coufal and looked much better. Actually brought a threat to our attack.
Mubama: 79th min sub for Ings
Marshall: 79th min sub for Cresswell
