Hertha Berlin youngster Ibrahim Maza is generating significant transfer buzz, with West Ham United joining the race to acquire the 17-year-old midfielder.

According to German newspaper Bild, Hertha Berlin might be forced to sell some players to improve their financial situation. Maza has emerged as a potential departure candidate despite the club’s desire to retain its talented youth players.

The report claims that several Premier League clubs are interested in Maza, including West Ham, Brighton & Hove Albion, Brentford, and Leicester City. These clubs have reportedly scouted Maza in Germany recently.

The interest isn’t limited to the Premier League. Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg, both Bundesliga clubs, are also said to be keen on signing Maza.

Bild suggests Maza’s current market value is around €1.5 million. However, the high level of interest from multiple clubs could see Hertha ramp the price up.

The report mentions that Brighton previously expressed interest in Maza back in March. They now face stiffer competition from West Ham and the other interested clubs.

With several clubs vying for his signature, Maza’s future destination remains unclear. West Ham will need to compete with a strong field of contenders if they want to secure the promising young midfielder.
