Burke set for Spurs nod …Lee comes later

|

BurkeHighly promising Hammers youngblood Reece Burke looks set to be named as part of the first team squad for the curtain-raiser against Tottenham tomorrow (Sat).

Manager Sam Allardyce is a firm believer in making the kids earn their squad number.

And it seems unlikely that the teenager would have been handed No 32 unless he was set to be named in tomorrow’s squad.

Elliot Lee meanwhile is likely to receive his number ahead of the Capital One Cup second round clash for which ClaretandHugh believes he is being lined up.

However, despite some speculation here and elsewhere that he could be challenging Mauro Zarate for a front role,  he has lost out on the No 10 with that having been handed to the Argentinian.

Great to see the youngsters progress! Also good to see that they are not being rushed and brought on at the right pace. COYI!
