Burnley’s shock Dyche decision before Hammers clash

Burnley have SACKED Sean Dyche before they play West Ham in the Premier League this weekend, per the club’s official website.

The Clarets have taken the decision to remove the longest-serving manager in the league, sacking him after nine-and-a-half years at the helm.

Dyche twice took Burnley from the Championship to the Premier League and repeatedly kept them there, even guiding them to qualification for Europe, and achieving two top-half finishes.

Burnley are struggling this season and remain in the relegation zone, four points behind 17th-placed Everton with the same amount of games played.

They play the Hammers this weekend and Under-23 coach Mike Jackson will be in charge for the game against David Moyes’ team.

Burnley did seem primed to stay up after beating Everton 3-2 but they were defeated by Norwich at the weekend, pulling them further into the mire, and forcing the club into making a decision.

Dyche is likely to walk straight into another job as soon as there’s a vacancy.
